Position Summary: With Caremark Specialty Pharmacy Services, we help
individuals by selecting a personalized, pharmacist-led CareTeam, who
proactively review dosing and medicine schedules, troubleshoot
injection-related issues, discuss side effect management, and reinforce
doctor instructions to ensure the individual's prescribed medicine is
administered appropriately. The medicines, which include primarily
injectable and infused drugs, along with ancillary medical supplies, are
delivered via express courier from Caremark's national network of
JCAHO-accredited pharmacies to patients in all 50 states. As part of our
Specialty Pharmacy Service offering, when Physicians refer plan
participants, it is Caremark's Specialty Enrollment Coordinators who manage
the receipt of new patient referrals (via phone, fax, or internet) and key
the data into our proprietary system which feeds a distribution list for
the Benefits Research team to manage. Occasional outbound calls may be
needed to gather additional patient, payer or prescriber information. This
position will also be responsible for sending fax receipt acknowledgements
to physicians for new patient referrals.

Duties: This role is centric to data entry (alpha numeric) of referral
information with occasional outbound calls. The activity is routine,
fast-paced, production-oriented, time sensitive and plays a critical role
in getting the appropriate therapies administered to our plan participants.
This role is also responsible for managing follow-up with sending receipt
acknowledgements to physician referrals. The role demands a keen eye for
data integrity. This position must comply with the business principals,
ethical standards, legal obligations and policy as outlined in Caremark's
Compliance and Ethics program to protect patient information. Experience: *
Minimum of 2yrs experience in a data entry environment (alpha numeric) is
required. * Computer experience is required with proficiency in Microsoft
Outlook, Word and Excel. * Experience in a health care setting or insurance
industry is a plus. * Intermediate math skills are required with attention
to detail and quality essential. * Ability to work with people in a team
environment while meeting individual performance goals. * Must be able to
read and interpret policies, procedures and instructions. * Effective
organizational skills and ability to prioritize a fluctuating workload and
competing priorities is essential. * Must have effective and empathetic
communication style in managing outbound calls and communications with
clients and team members. * The objective is to complete entry of 65
referrals per day, post training.
