Project Accountant


We are currently seeking a Project Accountant for our Dallas location.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for handling a high volume of
invoicing while working in conjunction with Project Managers to ensure
projects are set up appropriately, project plans and budgets are correct,
revenue is recognized correctly, and all invoices sent to the client are
correct and appropriate. The successful candidate must be highly organized,
detail oriented, self-motivated, be able to communicate effectively, and
exude a strong commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate Deltek VISION Project workplan, authored by Project Managers
Conduct baseline plan review
Work with Project Managers to ensure accuracy of input of project set up in
Deltek VISION
Prepare Project worksheet
Perform contract review to ensure project setup and billing conforms to
contract terms
Control and monitor flow of consultant invoices including obtaining
approvals, tracking budgets, and A/P entry
Monitor Project Manager's projects for financial profitability (budget to
actual hours and fees, signed contracts, A/R)
Monthly review with Project Managers on appropriate revenue to be recognized
Draft, revise, and issue a high volume of invoices while working in
conjunction with Project Managers to ensure all invoices sent to the client
are correct and appropriate.
Proactively manage un-billed projects to ensure all aging balances are
addressed by the Project Manager
Mail, email or fax all invoices to the clients
Possess an awareness and proactive attitude towards outstanding AR balance.
Work in conjunction with Collection Manager to ensure timely collection of
outstanding receivables.

Qualifications:
High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a high volume billing department
Experience with Deltek Vision highly desired
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and basic knowledge of
PowerPoint).
Understanding of general accounting principles required (general ledger,
revenue recognition, etc.)
Ability to work in a team environment, learn quickly, plan and prioritize
tasks effectively to meet deadlines, and analyze and solve problems.
Able to adapt to the dynamic requirements of the department as necessary
Able to collaborate with teammates
