Windows Server Analyst

Are you an experienced Windows Server Analyst looking for a new position in
the Dallas area? Do you have experience with government security
configuration requirements including NIST and STIG? If so, we may have just

TM Floyd & Company is hiring a Windows Server Analyst to analyze server
workload, including traffic and utilization trends. He/she will provide
analytical support to team members throughout the development and
implementation process. The Windows Server Analyst will also be
responsible for the following day-to-day activities:
Compiling and analyzing operational data and directing tests to assist in
establishing standards for new designs or modifications to existing
equipment, systems, or processes
Testing and verifying servers and support peripherals to ensure that they
meet specifications and requirements by recording and analyzing test data
Conferring with technical specialists and reviewing specifications to
evaluate interfaces between hardware and software
Anticipating and mitigating problems to maintain the integrity of the
security of the system
Maintaining effective security/backup and disaster recovery processes and
systems
Monitoring server performance to determine whether adjustments need to be
made and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
Creating and maintaining process and procedure documentation
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
3 years of server related experience in a Windows 2003 and 2008 environment
Experience with security configuration and patch tools
Experience with compliance controls, including STIG and NIST
Server infrastructure scripting and packaging experience (VBScript and
PowerShell preferred)
SQL Server database support experience preferred
Experience designing and deploying Active Directory
Group Policy administration experience
Patch management experience
