International Accounting Director

Director International Accounting

Our North Dallas technology client seeks an International Director of
Accounting. Ideal candidate has EXTENSIVE international experience setting
up foreign entities, familiarity with statutory reporting, etc. Germany,
UK, France, Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, (any
or all of the above). Background in intercompany and operation/auditing of
foreign offices.

Responsibilities:
> * Assist in the management of day-to-day general ledger accounting
> activities and projects, assuring timely and accurate reconciliation of
> certain worldwide balance sheet accounts and communication to proper
> levels/authorities * Posting journal entries, performing internal
> controls such as reviews and reconciliations, performing account and
> foreign currency (Fx) analysis, calculating multi-currency multi-entity
> transfer pricing entries, and creating all divisional GAAP financial
> reporting presentations
> * Management, reconciliation, and elimination of all internal corporate
> multi-currency intercompany relationships as well as all intercompany
> transactions with other divisions
> * Analyzing month-end financial results, providing variance analysis,
> researching financial fluctuations/questions and ensuring transparency.
> * Preparation of ad hoc analysis and reporting, as required.
> * Management of government and census reporting
> * Assist with the assessment, management, and enhancement of the
> financial control environment
> * Management of the corporate statutory reporting and audit process for
> entities in Europe and Asia
> * Assist with the assessment, management, and enhancement of the
> financial control environment
Requirements:
> Four-year degree in accounting
> * 8-12 years experience in progressive general ledger roles; public
> accounting experience is a plus
> * Experience with large ERP and reporting systems (Epicor, SAP or
> Hyperion a plus)
> * Knowledge and experience in US GAAP including journal entries,
> reconciliations, consolidations, and cash flows
> * Experience with the fixed asset close process including rollforward,
> reporting and review
> * Expert knowledge of multi-entity operations and posting into several
> different companies
> * Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, v and h lookups, and
> complex formula writing)
> * Technology industry experience is preferred
> * Experience and understanding of foreign currency transactions,
> royalties and cost sharing, and translation accounting
> * Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills with high-level
> of accuracy and attention to detail
> * Ability to efficiently handle multiple and competing tasks
> simultaneously and work closely with various departments and team members
> * Must be a motivated, self-starter with a proactive personality who is
> able to work independently or with a team
> * Excellent analytical, written/oral communication and interpersonal
> skills.
> * Unquestionable integrity
