Technology Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of program and project
leadership for high complexity, high visibility programs over the entire
life of the Company-wide strategic initiative. The Program Manager
understands complicated business objectives and scope and leads a Team of
Project Managers to deliver superior results. The Program Manager is
capable of weighing business objectives and value, scope/timeline/budget,
and technical risks to make sound recommendations to program Leadership.
The Program Manager will also be accountable for day-to-day decisions as
determined by program Leadership. The Program Manager will be able to
provide support and guidance for business, operational and Technology
initiated programs. This position requires strong knowledge of Technology
processes and implementation procedures. * Partners with Senior Leadership
and other Departments to lead Technology programs in support of the
Company's strategic plan. Viewed as a project/program leadership expert
responsible for driving analysis, recommendations, decisions and delivery.
* Defines and drives complex program plans for multiple, simultaneous,
related projects or for a single highly complex project including scope,
budget and schedule, and executes tasks defined in the program plan to
achieve program goals using standard program and project management
methodologies and practices. * Validates and helps develop business cases
with Customers, as well as develops a program charter. * Partners with
resource managers, Business Partners and vendors to assemble a project Team
and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion. *
Responsible for direct Leadership of Project Managers, Specialists and
other Team members. * Proactively monitors program risks, issues, and
scope, ensuring the appropriate level of priority, visibility and
escalation. * Establishes and leads program and project governance
processes. * Leads and facilitates program meetings and presentations to
Sr. Leadership. * Engages, initiates and leads change leadership. *
Provides thought leadership to program stakeholders and facilitates
strategic decision making related to program objectives. * Establishes
cross functional alliances across the Company to drive results. * Leverages
governance for program benefit. * Leads development and manages overall
communication strategy. * Synthesizes communication for all levels of
Leadership, including C-level and Executive and Senior Vice President
roles. * Proactively communicates plan and all relevant components of the
plan such as risk, schedules, expectations and ongoing updates to
Stakeholders, Sponsors and Project Teams to maintain project alignment. *
Gains buy-in for program goals and decisions with "tough" and diverse
Customer groups. * Builds trust and relationships; influences
cross-functionally and across diverse teams. * Builds partnerships to
collaborate and uses influence to gather Customer and business requirements
and communicate effectively with all project Teams and support groups.
Education: * College degree in technology, finance, business or related
field and/or equivalent work experience * MBA preferred. Experience: *
Minimum of 3 years as a Program/Project Manager, driving and delivering
complex programs and projects. * Minimum of 5-10 years of in project
management * Experience leading Direct Reports preferred * Knowledge of
issues/risk management and project change requests required. * Experience
developing communication strategies for buy-in and acceptance. * Solid
knowledge of strategic and financial analysis. PMP or PgMP or equivalent
work experience as a Program Manager required. * Expert knowledge of
program and project processes, problem management tools and procedures. *
Expert knowledge of MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite including
SharePoint. * Expert knowledge of application impact on operational and
business functions. * Expert knowledge of technology applications and
systems infrastructure. * Strong financial acumen to interpret corporate
financial analysis and financial statements. * Strong Customer Service and
Team orientation. * Demonstrates and employs active listening skills. *
Maintains composure under pressure and accurately assesses problem
situations. * Assumes a high level of responsibility and provides direction
in a Team-oriented environment, directing tasks to finish by scheduled
completion date. * Communicates effectively, both verbally and written, at
all levels * Able to contend with the range and complexity of large
business problems. * Reorders job priorities for Team and self as needed. *
Manages highly sensitive and confidential information. * Leads effectively
in a fast paced, collaborative, Team based environment. * Directs
performance of outside Contractors and maintains positive relations with
internal Customers.
