Department: Warehouse- Dallas

Description: A leading manufacturer and worldwide distributor of automatic
fire protection sprinklers and system control valves used in fire
protection systems has an immediate need for a Buyer to be based in our
Carrollton facility.

The person selected should have Inventory Control experience. Excellent
communication skills are necessary in order to effectively interact with
contacts inside and outside of the company. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite is also required. Timeliness and being reliable in showing up to work
each day is a must.

Responsibilities for this job include the following:

-Independently perform activities relevant to the procurement of company
finished goods, and other items.
-Select and assemble accurate information utilizing existing DRP reports,
vendor research, and other methods for the purpose of making sound
procurement decisions.
-Establish optimum supplier sourcing arrangements for those items which
procurement responsibility is assigned, by using such methods as
negotiations, vendor facilities analysis, performance evaluation, value
analysis, quality improvement, and other sound judgment techniques.
-Initiate and issue purchase orders, change notices and any correspondence
with vendors as required. Act as liaison between internal and external
contacts. Coordinate resolution of vendor quality problems.
-Participate in, coordinate, and/or initiate action with Sales to correct
problematic situations.
-Participate in cost reduction activities/projects to achieve established
savings goals.
