professional to join our Wylie team.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Continuous Improvement
Engineer is self-motivated, innovative leader who leads lean initiatives
and continuous improvements in the SAF-Holland, Inc. Wylie facility. This
position promotes and drives change while supporting the goals of meeting
and exceeding customer expectations, at the lowest cost, and on time.

Job Duties Include:

Provide leadership for a continuous improvement culture.
Develop training & educate employees in Lean manufacturing principles.
Define and lead Kaizen events.
Champion all Lean activities, working with plant leadership across all
departments to train, communicate, standardize, sustain and facilitate Lean
Lead 5S & other visual factory activities for the facility
Prepare and train on the use of standardized work
Work closely with frontline staff, identifying improvement
Work closely to reduce change over time (SMED)
Prepare reports of improvement activities for Senior Management
Develop Value Stream Mapping and other Lean tools, for the facility
Help the plant with the achievement of cost reduction goals
Other duties as assigned


Continuous Improvement Engineer

Minimum required skills / qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree - engineering or management preferred
3-5 years of Continuous Improvement-related work experience or higher
Prior project management experience
Proven success at driving, leading and sustaining organizational change and
Six Sigma, Toyota or other Process Improvement or Lean system experience
preferred, black belt or similar professional certification desired
Experience in production scheduling and manufacturing preferred
Experience with CNC & machining centers desired
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
SAP experience desired
Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
High energy and self-motivated
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
