A YMCA Executive Director's goal is to have a lasting and positive impact
on the lives of the people and the communities they serve. As the Executive
Director of the Eastside YMCA you will have a special opportunity to create
a lasting legacy while taking your career to new heights!
The Eastside YMCA is located in the city of Fort Worth. With a focus of
improving the health of children and families in the community, your
morning starts with several meetings with key community partners. Ideas
will be generated that lead to plans for a successful presence in the
community and mutual support of annual fundraising efforts, community
outreach and membership and program growth. You meet and lead your
management team who shares your passion for working in this lovely suburban
community. Later, back in your office, you meet with your branch Board
Chair and strategize for the upcoming community projects. That evening you
walk though the Y and feel grateful that the Eastside YMCA serves as a
community hub and "safe haven" for a community - as you serve and make a
positive impact on kids, families and seniors. Must aggressively support
the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth's strategic plan and be a prominent
figure within the community.

This is an opportunity requiring an Executive Director with
well-established fiscal management, community outreach, and financial
development skills. The ability to create a long term vision and lead a
team of Y professionals is essential. The contributed revenue from
membership dues, programs (including Aquatics, Youth Sports, Day Camp and
other programs),annual campaign and other efforts is $900,000. With your
financial development expertise, we know we can do even better. You will
supervise and develop a 3 member leadership team, and 50 - 90 part-time
staff (seasonal staff and coordinators included). The Eastside YMCA
encompasses 450+ membership units, which are primarily adult and senior


Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent

6 (six) or more years of management experience, preferably experienced as a
YMCA Executive Director or served as a significant leader within another
nonprofit agency

Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development,
supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget,
marketing and public relations, program development and annual (and
pre-capital) fundraising

Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability
to recruit top community leaders

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social
and economic segments of the community

Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others

Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
