Human Resources Coordinator



Methanex Corporation - Dallas

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role will provide
generalist HR services supporting the Manager in all areas related to
people management for Methanex North America. Through partnerships with
clients, the Coordinator, Human Resources supports the achievement of
business goals to develop a high performing organization. He/She supports
change and development activities through such services as organizational
analysis and development, recruitment, on-boarding, talent management,
coaching and performance consulting. This position also provides a full
range of Human Resources services including compensation & benefits,
training, surveys, policies management and implementation of HR initiatives
to support the business needs of Methanex North America.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and on-boarding

Manages recruitment and on-boarding:

 Works closely with Hiring Managers to understand main duties and to
define profiles. Prepares job descriptions, recruits, interviews, tests and
selects employees to fill vacant positions.

 Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude
towards company goals.

 Builds strong relationships with recruitment companies.

 Develops strong relationships with universities and organizes on-campus
events to build brand recognition and attract talented candidates.

 Provides an impactful, memorable candidate experience as well as Company
image as it relates to the interview process from beginning to end. 2.
Training and Talent Management

Supports Training and Development initiatives:

 Identifies and assesses training needs, develops presentations and
training content, coordinates and conducts training sessions and evaluates
training effectiveness.

 Supports and continuously improves processes and tools in performance
management process. Includes goal setting, development planning and
performance appraisals.

 Partners with the Manager, Human Resources on global and local strategic
workforce planning program.

 Provides guidance and coaching to employees.

3. Payroll, Compensation and Benefit administration

Administers payroll as well as compensation and benefit programs:

 Transmits and approves necessary payroll information to Payroll
Specialist (in Louisiana).

 Manages benefits, savings plans, workers compensation, and unemployment
claims to ensure compliance and excellent service delivery.

 Solely manages relationship with insurance broker and benefit open
enrollment process.

 Conducts salary surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage
rate and provides recommendations to the Management Team.

4. Others

 Initiates and oversees surveys (Employee Engagement, 360 fedbacks, etc.).

 Maintains compliance of legal HR functions, requirements and government
reporting regulations.

 Maintains HRIS and records as appropriate.

 Produces ad hoc reports.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development,
Business Administration, Accounting or a related field required,
Masters/MBA preferred.

 PHR or SPHR designation preferred.

 Strong benefit management experience.

 Minimum 4 years of work experience in a HR Generalist role.

 Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, listening & discerning skills in
dealing with employees (at all levels) & external contacts.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving, administrative and organizational
skills.

 Ability to develop strong peer relationships in a dynamic and diverse
team environment where teamwork is highly valued.

 Solid written and verbal communication skills.

 Results driven, desire to exceed goals successfully, constantly a top
performer, bottom line oriented, pushes self and others for results.

 Sensitivity in dealing with confidential issues and information.

 Strong sense of consistency, ethics and personal integrity.

 Knowledge of HR-related state and federal regulations required.

 Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
and Outlook.
