Plant Manager

ARDEX Americas and W.W. Henry
are global leaders in the development, manufacturing and distribution of
high-performance specialty cements, adhesives and building products for
substrate preparation, floor covering installations, wall finishing and
exterior concrete repair for commercial and residential applications.

We are immediately hiring for a Plant Manager, to supervise and lead
operations of our Mansfield facility (one of five facilities in the US), to
include; meeting safety, quality, cost and service objectives, drive
continuous improvement in operations, ensure plant operations are aligned
with company strategic and financial objectives, and oversee legal and
operations compliances.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing and sustaining a positive, engaged workforce
Responsible for compliance with local, state and federal laws
Assures that the proper safety training and equipment are provided to the
plant employees
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to
deliver expected results against Safety, Quality, Cost and Customer Service
Works closely with R&D to assure that all product produced meets
specification and that all required quality checks are completed in a
timely manner. Periodically organizes quality audits at the facility to
review conformance to requirements
Responsible for developing and achieving an annual operating budget
Responsible for effective cooperation with Corporate office support teams
to include payroll, accounting, logistics, and purchasing
Develop and improve the defined plant managing systems - drive the daily
execution of these systems into all levels of the organization
Support business development by assuring timely transition of new products
into the production process and per defined product performance
Development and implementation of manufacturing plans based on company
Management and justification of capital projects.
Constantly works to improve the plant communication process - utilize an
open-door policy
Determines individual employee needs and provides opportunities for career
development through counseling, training and development.
Conducts quarterly staff appraisals, determines individual employee needs
and provides recommendations for career development. Takes appropriate
disciplinary action when necessary
All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Skills/Attributes Required:
Minimum five (5) years' experience in manufacturing with direct or indirect
leadership role is essential
Extensive and successful track record in managing high quality batch and /
or blending operations is preferred
Full knowledge of process control and improvement techniques is essential
Knowledge of environmental laws, rules, regulations, and compliance
Self-starter - ability to initiate and execute with limited assistance
Experience in cost and capital budget management
Effective writing, communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
Good influencing skills
Professional image and customer service attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
Proven track record of ability to handle multiple priorities, be results
driven and self-motivated
Excellent time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent listening and team building skills are required
Dependability, accountability, and responsiveness are essential
Must possess sound business judgment and be decisive
Good financial management, change management, and conflict management
skills are required
Fluent English and Spanish is desirable


Minimum four (4) years Bachelor's Degree is preferred (BS in an Engineering
