1960, has a Service Manager position available in our Dallas branch. The
Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Service
Department and assists the branch in achieving goals of customer
satisfaction, safety, profitability, process improvement and growth.

Candidates should have a solid mechanical and manufacturing background,
excellent computer skills, a strong ability to multi-task, and outstanding
organizational and customer service skills. Practical, hands-on experience
managing the daily operations of a service department is preferred as well
as machine tool or related equipment knowledge.

Management of Service Technicians:
o Manage the daily operations of 8 field service engineers
o Monitors and approves tools and supply purchases of service technicians.
Ensuring that the department has the proper supplies and tools to be
efficient and effective
o Develops equipment installation planning to ensure timely installations
at customer sites.
o Maintains productivity by allocating resources and delegating tasks
appropriate to employee skills.
o Communicate effectively with external and internal customers
o Forecast, quantify and analyze service department performance
o Improve process and operational efficiencies
o Recruit, develop and lead a service department team to success
Customer Relations:
o Provides responsive customer service and qualified resources and provides
accurate and timely quotations for planned and unplanned work
o Interfaces directly with clients to resolve high-level issues.
Administrative:
o Provides recommendations regarding hiring, training, and input on
evaluation of service technicians and service personnel.
o Provides recommendations for policy updates and revisions.
o Receives time off requests and approves/denies in accordance with
scheduling.
o Monitors results of delegated assignments, evaluates budget compliance,
financial goals and makes suggestions as appropriate.
o Actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
o Stays abreast of competencies of company resources and safety programs
and standards.

Ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
o Previous supervisory experience preferred
o Minimum 5 years of mechanical work experience in troubleshooting, repair
and installation.
o Strong electrical troubleshooting experience.
o Preferred formal education/training in the troubleshooting, repair and
installation of CNC Machine Tool Products.

o Able to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, peers,
builder representatives and suppliers.
o Demonstrated self-starter and team player with effective planning and
organization skills committed to customer satisfaction.
o Two-four years related experience and/or training; High school
diploma/GED. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
o Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
o Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
o Analytical skills and attention to detail
