BravoTECH, a leader in IT staffing and staff augmentation services, seeks
System Administrator for our preferred client in their Dallas location.
The qualified candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in three major
areas, including: Windows 2000-2012 Server Administrator, VMWare
experience, and Broad-base of experience.
The primary responsibility of this role is supporting the Microsoft
Operating System servers and software environment used by company. This
person installs, configures, and maintains software and server hardware
connected to the LAN, provides assistance to Help Desk Support team and
provides backup support to various systems and IT department personnel.
Must be familiar with Windows server systems running on VMWare and have
working knowledge of installing, configuring and troubleshooting VMWare ESX
hosts. This role is responsible for company's backup systems, data
integrity and retention policies.
Responsibilities for this Position Include:
Participation in Staff meetings, Project meetings and training seminars for
novice technology members is required as necessary. Responsible for or
assists other administrators in maintaining the company's storage systems,
Active Directory, Group Policies and Windows server systems. Assists in
the maintenance of the Testing facilities, creating detailed documentation
on relevant topics for Knowledge Base and may be asked to lead projects or
Primary administration or backup of production Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012
Servers. This includes file servers, web servers, database servers and
specialty application servers
Primary administration or backup to additional IT applications including
Exchange Server, AD accounts & permissions, inventory and licensing
Primary administration or backup of all Citrix systems
Manages backup processes, applications and troubleshooting current backup
product, across all offices. Veeam is currently in use
Lead technology projects requiring Microsoft specific knowledge or as
required by Management
Manages all storage devices, monitors use and provides trending analysis
The System Administrator provides required technical assistance and
training to Information Technology members to resolve end user problems.
Works with end users as necessary to resolve issues and problems.
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Windows
servers in support of business requirements.
Responsible for on-going maintenance and operations of all servers in the
environments; proactively identify issues.
Performs software installations and upgrades to Windows operating systems
and layered software packages.
Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with
established IS policies, procedures and SLAs.
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum level of performance.
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and
managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
Ensures data/media recoverability by submitting a schedule of system
backups and database archive operations.
Provide system administrative functions for network resources, MS Exchange,
File and Print Servers.
Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers
for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration
guidelines and procedures.
Develops and maintain a comprehensive hardware and software configuration
database/library of all supporting documentation.
Experience as System Administrator or Systems Analyst for Microsoft Windows
2008 (and later) operating systems.
Working proficiency in English (written and oral); ability to communicate
clearly with clients and colleagues in work environment.
MCSE certification a plus
Some travel is required
Bachelor's degree or higher in an information systems-related field; or
10+ years' work experience in a technical environment
