We would like to add a Contracts Specialist to our operations team located
in Plano.

Duties

Assist the Contracts Manager in the operation of the corporate Contracts
Department with focus on handling commercial contracts and procurement.

Responsible for day-to-day interface with external customers and vendors on
contractual matters related to commercial contracts.

Assist the Contracts Manager in building commercial proposal packages and
executing master service agreements, contracts and purchase orders.

Manage contracting duties for all commercial procurement to include: review
of internal purchase requisitions, issue of requests for quotes, evaluation
of vendor proposals, preparation of purchase orders, monitoring
subcontracts; and modifying as necessary

Manage contracting duties for all commercial customer contracts to include:
monitoring contract performance for compliance to contract requirements;
assisting Contracts Manager for modifications to contract; negotiating to
resolve to mutual satisfaction when customer directed changes increase
scope and cost; coordinating with technical project leads and finance
personnel in all matters related to performance and costs.

Coordinate with technical and accounting staff for timely processing of
invoices both to customer and from vendor. Maintain contract files and
records of all contract activity; assist project leads in managing work
effort and tracking costs incurred

Assist the Contracts Manager by providing back up support as assigned in
administering federal contracts

Required Background & Skills

Strong ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a dynamic environment
against tight deadlines with minimal supervision

Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills with
ability to collaborate seamlessly across multiple company locations

Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Ability to work with ease on diverse types of agreements and complex
contracts and proficient in contracting practice and language

Ability to critically analyze competing terms for performance, cost,
schedule, intellectual property rights and recommend best value trade-offs
for minimum risk to company

Highly proficient in using MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook,
SharePoint and adapting to corporate-wide contracts management processes
and tools

Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) required and GSA
schedules a plus

Familiarity with billing and invoicing; familiarity with Deltek T&E and
GCS; strong math skills a plus

Required Qualification & Experience

At least 5 years of substantive contracting experience, with at least 2
years' experience handling commercial service contracts

Associates' or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

Contracts Management certifications a plus
