Credit Analyst

Job Description:
Adheres to and supports company policies and procedures.
Uses multiple systems for customer contact regarding balances owed,
tracking, information gathering, research and entering documentation of
communication with customer.
Answer inquiries and resolve problems.
May initiate contact with customers or outside vendors to obtain necessary
information or documentation.
Provides exceptional customer service.
Actively participates and communicates in team based work group.
Reviews and monitors credit, credit files, customer set up requests,
delinquent accounts
May contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and verification of
incomplete customer data.
May research disputed delinquent account balances and recommend accounts
that need escalated collection efforts with the goal of reducing past due
dollars.
The candidate will have a proven track record in collections, account
reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills to manage complex
customer issues.
The Credit Analyst must be able to develop and maintain a successful
partnership with the sales force and other internal departments
Requires analytical skills necessary to perform detailed account
reconciliation and financial statement analysis.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
Must be able to efficiently resolve complex issues with little direction.
Assist with Credit reporting requirements
Assess credit worthiness of accounts and process credit applications
Proactively monitor customer accounts for irregularities (e.g. past-due
invoices, delayed payments, etc.)
Identify bad debts for financial exposure
Develop and maintain strong proactive relationships with sales department
and customers
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Monitor open accounts receivable for term compliance, ensures skips, short
pays,
Implement and where necessary create amicable, effective payment plans on
past due accounts
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (email and some phone
conversation).
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong Excel skills along with excellent general computer skills in a
windows based environment.
Experience in audit and exception management.
Food or product distribution experience.
