Reviews administrative reports to determine compliance violations as set
forth by the Regulatory Agreement. Tracks and reviews corrective action.

Participates in and makes recommendations to the on-site staff to ensure
accurate compliance procedures.

Implements and monitors service-enriched housing programs by means of
setting the standards, criteria, procedures, or other means the company has
adopted or planned for carrying out those activities.

Develops and implements on-site training as needed to ensure adherence to
the requirements of the various affordable housing programs.

Develops and implements audit program to ensure bond compliance. Generates
correspondence relating to audit exceptions by defining compliance
violations and appropriate remedies. Tracks and reviews corrective action.

Develops and updates accurate Affordable Housing Program Manuals, specific
to the particular programs in place at each property.

Generates written communication to the properties, District Managers,
Regional Directors, and the Chief Executive Officer relating to compliance
issues as well as status from monthly monitoring.

Analyzes and interprets Regulatory Agreements and other applicable
agreements entered into by the owner and Housing Authority.

Maintains knowledge and awareness of various affordable housing programs by
attending and participating in on-going training classes provided by
professional training organizations and the Housing Authorities.

Represents the company in the National Affordable Housing Management
Association.

Effectively communicates with owners, Housing Authority representatives and
Trustees.

Travel required may be 50%.

Performs any additional duties or tasks as assigned by Chief Executive
Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Professional certifications
and at least five years experience in affordable housing programs -
including HUD, LIHTC and bond required. College degree desirable.

Computer Skills: Windows-based programs, Word Processing, and Spreadsheets

Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Note: Workweek may include weekends and overtime.

Position Description:

The Director of Affordable Housing Compliance has the responsibility of
complex monitoring of properties for compliance with regulatory
requirements for all affordable housing programs in the company's managed
portfolio to include, but not limited to, various Tax-Exempt Bond programs,
501 (c) (3) Affordable Housing programs, HUD programs, project-based
Section 8, and Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Work involves developing
compliance procedures and training programs and performing administrative
and field reviews to ensure the compliance of the programs as set forth by
the Regulatory Agreements, HAP contracts, or other applicable agreements
entered into by the owners and housing authorities or other regulatory
bodies. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer,
using wide latitude and independent judgment and initiative to meet the
company goals and objectives.
