Director of Business Development
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating a wide range of
duties pivotal to the effective analysis, structuring, development and
marketing of business opportunities crucial to the growth of the Company.
Tasks include both new business development and existing customer
management. The candidate will be a highly motivated, analytical
self-starter who is able to effectively develop and manage multiple
external and internal relationships and tasks. Candidate will also have a
good understanding of the natural gas industry, especially the E&P,
midstream and NGL sectors.
Develop term sheets and letters of intent for midstream services.
Work closely with legal department and outside counsel in the drafting of
Follow natural gas, natural gas liquids and oil markets, both domestically
and worldwide, and develop a general understanding of the drivers for the
Follow industry trends, with a specific focus on the Utica and Marcellus
Shale region, and provide market intelligence and advice to senior
Make presentations to senior and executive leadership on business
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers including producers,
condensate buyers and NGL pipeline operators along multiple levels and
disciplines with an ultimate goal of providing midstream services.
Develop strategies for the investment of capital in midstream projects,
including gathering, processing, fractionation, compression, condensate
stabilization and NGL/condensate transportation agreements.
Work with financial department to prepare cost estimates and economic
justification for midstream investments.
Facilitate communication between external customers and internal personnel
regarding production and drilling schedules, gas, NGL and condensate
forecasts, additional acreage acquisitions, etc.
Understanding of the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil
and natural gas industry.
Demonstrate understanding of and experience in negotiating industry
contracts including gathering, processing, fractionation, NGL
transportation and/or NGL sales agreements.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to identify, develop, market, negotiate and sell expansion
General understanding of financial and physical aspects of deals.
Familiarity with production process, including permitting, drilling,
planning and timing.
