Work for a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense
vehicles and engines. This is a GREAT opportunity to work for an
international company with a tremendous reputation in the industry. This
direct hire position is located in Springfield, OH. Here are the
responsibilities:

This Manufacturing Engineer position is in the truck and engine assembly
division.

Producing and maintaining equipment and manufacturing process sheets for
assigned parts; determining and approving optimum process equipment for
assigned area; reviewing and updating process sheets or inspection
standards for part changes or manufacturing concerns within assigned area;
conducting cost studies for new processes or equipment; developing
improvements for current manufacturing methods & processes; conducting
process optimization; performing audits in assigned area to resolve any
open issues.

Planning & implementing capital expenditures for future manufacturing
needs; Providing support for new model launches by developing tooling
specifications, conducting trials, and following production and quality
concerns in assigned area; representing assigned area during new model
development; providing new vehicle information and system training for new
quality inspection items.

Position Purpose and Requirements:
Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and
processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub
assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in
coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost,
determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and
process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records
and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Acting as a leader for lean manufacturing initiatives, upgrading equipment,
bringing in new manufacturing equipment, setting up of the equipment.

Basic Requirements:"Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering
Technology

"At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing

OR

"Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

"At least 3 years of experience in product manufacturing

OR

"Doctorate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

"Provide technical support for state-of-the-art, automated equipment for
metal stamping, forming, assembly and packaging processes involving
mechanical feeds, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronic systems

"Experience with stamping tools and tool maintenance and repair

"Work with suppliers to ensure required or recommended design changes do
not have a negative impact on quality or manufacturing process

"Assist in trouble-shooting quality concerns and equipment or tooling
problems in assigned area

"Create layout proposals

"Write process definition and documentation

"Complete process FMEA and control plans for stamping operations

"Specify and procure necessary equipment, evaluate suppliers

"Recommend tooling modifications as required

"Submit and follows-up on purchase requisitions and work orders required to
set up and maintain production in assigned area

"Review part, sub-assembly and complete body or system layout data for
potential countermeasures for improvement of quality

"Quality assurance strategy and capability documentation

"Analyze labor requirements

"Through-put improvement including uptime and failure analysis

"Project Management for new product and/or assembly process implementation

"Facilitate Resolution to Issues

"Travel as Required Ability to work on and manage several large projects
simultaneously from start to finish

"Ability to travel 25%
