Plant Manager

Plant Manager

FPC has been retained to fill a high visibility Plant Manager role for an
expanding manufacturing plant located in the Dallas area.

The successful candidate will be a transformative leader and be accountable
for plant P&L and own all plant manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervises the manufacturing of products to the desired levels of quality
and delivery standards with optimum efficiency.

Initiates and implements procedures/processes to conserve material and
eliminate waste.

Authorizes recruitment, hiring, assignment and termination of personnel in
line with business demands and regulations.

Maintain positive associate relations through fair and consistent
application of policies and procedures.

Evaluates personnel for management potential and coordinates developmental
activities to ensure progression.

Coordinates production/plant training programs with the designated trainer
and/or HR.

Directs safety programs consistent with safe working conditions, insurance
requirements, government regulations, and corporate policy.

Prepares annual manufacturing/production/distribution forecasts and
budgets. Completes and reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of
operating metrics.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and education required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration

At least 8 years of progressively responsible plant supervisory/management
experience

Previous turnaround or lean transformation experience required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing systems and techniques

Thorough knowledge of direct manufacturing support functions including
materials management, scheduling, account services, shipping, and
maintenance
