Sales Trainer Account Manager

The Account Manager performs comprehensive account management activities,
with an emphasis on increasing territory sales volume within assigned
product categories. Responsibilities emphasize penetration and growth of
existing accounts through retail sales associate training. Responsibilities
include development of a territory plan to achieve sales objectives and
growing existing accounts by implementing sales and training strategies.
This position is an account management role, coupled with 20% new business
development. We are not looking for a farmer but is still willing to
hunt. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Increases business from existing customers, in the furniture market to
ensure the growth and profitability of clients business. Ensures account
retention in alignment with clients requirements for profitability, and
works to improve profitability of under performing accounts.
Identifies for each retail environment specific training needs relative to
product knowledge and retail selling skills. Develops customized training
programs to meet the needs of each retailer. Conducts training sessions
using a variety of training skills and techniques. Measures training
impact through performance metrics, taking corrective action as identified.
2+ years outside sales experience. Outgoing personality. You should come
from and industry where you sold products or services into another
industry. Where you had to train the employees on your products or
services and they in turn sold it to the end user. Calling on retail is a
major plus. Compatible industries could be: bedding (mattresses), window
fashions, floor covering, consumer electronics, extended warranties, power
equipment, kitchen cabinets, appliances, consumer packaged goods,
educational materials, multi-unit manager, retail credit financing or
related. If you were a district, regional or national trainer that is a
SALARY $60K to $70K, up to 15% annual bonus, plus an excellent profit
sharing plan, mileage reimbursement, laptop, cell phone, home office
