Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with one of Tarrant
County's most desired publicly traded organizations to recruit a new staff
member in Financial Reporting. The Financial Reporting Manager will be an
addition to the staff and will be a key member in reviewing the
corporation's SEC filings. Position is responsible for analyzing,
summarizing and reporting the financial results of the Company and its
various legal entities to management, shareholders and various governmental
agencies. This reporting must be in compliance with Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
rules and regulations, as well as other accounting governing agencies. This
position is also responsible for equity and pension accounting. Completes
ad hoc projects as requested. Specifically, this role will plan and manage
execution of the Financial Reporting department with regards to the
preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial
statements for submission into the Report to the Board of Directors, 10-Q
and 10-K filings with the SEC and the Company's Annual Report; will be
responsible for/participate in preparation quarterly and annual reports,
including complicated technical portions of reports; will be responsible
for equity accounting including share-based payments and the weighted
average shares calculation; will be responsible for accounting for the
Company's pension plans and company-owned life insurance; will have
extensive interaction with the Company's external auditors discussing
technical issues, third party vendors and various departments including
investor relations, payroll and legal; and will be ultimately responsible
for meeting SEC deadlines and requirements and ensuring that all supporting
departments are meeting monthly internal deadlines and generating accurate
results.
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have a 4 year Accounting degree and must be a CPA
(required). Candidate must have 5+ years experience with 2+ years in Big 4
public accounting on SEC clients highly preferred. Must have excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
Salary to $90K plus 10% target bonus plus amazing benefits including 4
weeks vacation day 1 of employment and unlimited sick days for employee and
children.
