Job Details
We are a division of a Major Medical Device Manufacturer looking to add a
Entry Level Hardware Design Engineer to our integrated surgical room design
team. This role is heavily focused on hardware design across multiple
classes of devices from I-II. Emphasis on analog and digital circuit design
as well as low level programming.
Preference for grads from Top Engineering Schools
What You Will Be Doing
75% Development , 25% Firmware
What You Need for this Position
At Least 1 Years of experience and knowledge of:
* Knowledge of micro-controller, CPLD/FPGA, DSP, and digital logic design
* Knowledge low level programming languages including Assembly, C, and/or
C++
* Knowledge of linear and switching power supply design
* Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers,
and multi-meters
* Knowledge of analog and digital circuits including amplifiers, power
supplies, filters, transistor circuits, microcontroller systems, and
sampled data systems
DESIRED SKILLS
* Experience with high level programming languages including C++, C#,
and/or Java
* Experience with scripting languages including Python, Perl, Javascript
and/or VB scripting
* Experience with Linux OS including shell scripting
* Experience with the following tools:
* Integrated Development Environments
? Microsoft Visual Studio
? Freescale Code Warrior
? Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio
? Altera Quartus and SoPC/QSYS
* Source Code Repositories
? Subversion or GIT
? Visual Source Safe

? High-speed digital simulation and PCB layout techniques
? Analog and/or RF circuit simulation and PCB layout techniques
? Audio and video compression techniques including H.264
? Wireless technologies including WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC
? Freescale 8, 16, and 32-bit micro-controllers
? Embedded communications interfaces including I2C, SPI, and 1-wire
