This position is responsible for directing sales operations of the
Company's health products in the South Eastern region of the U.S.,
including successfully maintaining and expanding existing business,
contributing to the Company's sales strategy, meeting or exceeding sales
targets, and contributing to new product development. Live anywhere in the
Southeast USA or Dallas and work from a home office with overnight travel
expected to be 50% on average.
Primary Job Functions Increases Sales and Profits of Company's Health
Products by having a thorough knowledge of core health products, focusing
on, but not limited to: 1) dietary supplements 2) cosmetics and 3) medical
foods; by researching and analyzing sales potential for various products by
customer, region, etc.; by maintaining and expanding ties with established
customers; by establishing professional networks in the target market; by
developing relationships in order to acquire new accounts; by attending
tradeshows and other industry events; by promoting new products; by
supporting with other sales efforts at the request of Senior Management;
and by meeting or exceeding sales targets. Contributes to Company's Sales
Strategy for Health Products by working closely with the Director of Sales
and other relevant members of Senior Management to determine strategic
sales objectives; by recommending sales territories and quotas; by
coordinating with the Company's Marketing function in developing effective
strategies for entering new markets and introducing new products; by
analyzing and evaluating sales performance; and by working with Senior
Management on the Company's sales policies and procedures. Contributes to
Development of New Health Products by fully understanding the Company's
activities, health products, capabilities, and potential; by establishing
and maintaining strategic business relationships with Purchasing, Logistics
and R&D contacts; by driving new R&D projects forward by communicating with
customers and the Head Office; by working with other business units within
the Company and outside Consultants to conceive of new products that have
promising markets; by generating new potential projects based on customer
activity; and by exploring and researching new opportunities for projects.
Contributes to Corporate Budgetary Process by creating sales expense
budgets for health products on an annual basis and reviewing and revising
as appropriate for the second half of the year; and by following
budget/expense guidelines for various aspects of the sales operations
(travel, entertainment, administrative expenses, etc. Education Bachelor's
degree from four-year College or university. MS with science or health
background preferred.
Eight to twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
