1960, has a Service Manager position available in our Dallas branch. The
Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Service
Department and assists the branch in achieving goals of customer
satisfaction, safety, profitability, process improvement and growth.
Candidates should have a solid mechanical and manufacturing background,
excellent computer skills, a strong ability to multi-task, and outstanding
organizational and customer service skills. Practical, hands-on experience
managing the daily operations of a service department is preferred as well
as machine tool or related equipment knowledge.

Management of Service Technicians:
*Manage the daily operations of eight field service engineers.
*Monitors and approves tools and supply purchases of service technicians.
Ensuring that the department has the proper supplies and tools to be
efficient and effective.
*Develops equipment installation planning to ensure timely installations at
customer sites.
*Maintains productivity by allocating resources and delegating tasks
appropriate to employee skills.
*Communicate effectively with external and internal customers.
*Forecast, quantify and analyze service department performance.
*Improve process and operational efficiencies.
Recruit, develop and lead a service department team to success.
Customer Relations:
*Provides responsive customer service and qualified resources and provides
accurate and timely quotations for planned and unplanned work.
*Interfaces directly with clients to resolve high-level issues.
Administrative:
*Provides recommendations regarding hiring, training, and input on
evaluation of service technicians and service personnel.
*Provides recommendations for policy updates and revisions.
*Receives time off requests and approves/denies in accordance with
scheduling.
*Monitors results of delegated assignments, evaluates budget compliance,
financial goals and makes suggestions as appropriate.
*Actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
*Stays abreast of competencies of company resources and safety programs and
standards.
Ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
*Previous supervisory experience preferred.
*Minimum five years of mechanical work experience in troubleshooting,
repair and installation.
*Strong electrical troubleshooting experience.
*Preferred formal education/training in the troubleshooting, repair and
installation of CNC machine tool products.
*Able to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, peers,
builder representatives and suppliers.
*Demonstrated self-starter and team player with effective planning and
organization skills committed to customer satisfaction.
*Two-four years related experience and/or training; High school
diploma/GED. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
*Analytical skills and attention to detail.
