THE POSITION
The Senior Media Analyst plays a vital role in our Digital Marketing
Department by designing, executing, analyzing and optimizing profitable
media buy campaigns. The Senior Media Analyst should have a strong
understanding of the entire media buy campaign lifecycle- planning, buying,
optimization testing, and reporting/analysis. This includes a strong
understanding of behavioral and predictive targeting technologies along
with various pricing models (CPM, CPC, CPL, CPA, etc.).
* Analyze the current and historical performance data of past media buy
campaigns to identify trends and benchmarks.
* Assess current campaigns and competitive market situation to provide
recommendations, establish goals and strategies to expand and improve
performance and ROI
* Research publishers and leverage media planning resources
* Report findings based on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly
performance, and present the findings to Management.
* Come up with customized optimization strategies based on site
functionality, conversion levers and all other area critical to the success
of account management.
* Communicate with management on current findings and recommendations of
how to improve metrics
* Work closely with testing team in coming up with new designs to test.
* Work closely with the Business Analyst team to gather data and Data
Warehouse to develop new tools to make work more efficient.
* Forecast projections for account sales volume and spending.
* Responsible for maintaining logs that documents major changes to the
accounts.
* Communicate with Account Managers from search engines and direct
marketing vendors in order to gain insight, learn of new product offers and
overcome problems within the industry.
* Role will be required to learn multiple marketing channels (Paid Search,
Email, Media Buying, SEO, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
*A minimum of 3 years Digital Media campaign optimization experience
*Bachelor's degree
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and varied communication
styles
*Strong knowledge of digital environments and overall Internet savvy
*Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
*Ability to calculate and analyze data, especially data based on standard
digital advertising cost-per metrics (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc.)
*Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
*Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
*Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines; strong
sense of urgency
*An interest in learning multiple lead generation marketing channels
(email, PPC, etc.)
DESIRED
*Experience managing Paid Search campaigns using Google AdWords and Bing Ads
*Knowledge of radio, TV, print, OOH, DR, Content and/or Email Marketing
