Technical Support

Technical Support (Level IV) - Trading / Investment Banking.

Key Responsibilities:

Required technical skills :

Unix (3- 5 years+) Understanding of Unix access, file and directory permissions, shell scripting, vi

SQL (3-5 year+) Writing DDL to create, modify tables and views and DML to perform inserts, updates and deletes

Teradata and/or Oracle RDBMS (3-5 years+)

Source Control (Subversion/Perforce/Clearcase) (1-3 years+)

Job Scheduler experience Preferable to have Job Scheduler open source experience, however any scheduler experience (maestro, autosys, etc) is applicable

C++/Java/Perl/Python programming experience (1-3 years +)

Debugs, supports, and maintains basel and economic capital applications that support Enterprise Capital business functions. These applications involve diverse platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Candidate will have responsibility for and participate in monthly release migrations across multiple environments, and will support all aspects of monthly release implementations including CAB governance and Disaster Recovery planning and testing. Responsible for routine maintenance of complex applications. Executes DDL and DML scripts, replicates data structures across database environments. Serves as Level 1 production support and oncall, for the monthly production cycle and meets aggressive Service Level Agreements. Performs planning and testing associated with infrastructure upgrades. Ensures application meets information security and compliance standards . Responds to business issues in accordance with service level agreements of support team. Requires night and weekend work. Logs errors and issues associated with migrations, releases, and production support and seeks to mitigate issues. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Collaborates with members of the development, analyst and testing teams to coordinate delivery of software application. Works across Enterprise Technology Delivery teams to provide solutions. Must have excellent documentation skills. Works under minimal supervision, with limited guidance. Typically requires 7-10 year of experience. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to follow the established production support procedures and processes. Must be available for after hours as needed and some weekend work. BS degree. Extension past 1 year likely. In person interview required.
