 Job Description:
Cryptography Research, a new division of Rambus, is hiring an outstanding senior Security Analyst/Penetration Tester interested in assessing the security posture of the applications. The analyst will work closely with hardware, software, SQA, configuration, and security engineers to develop, implement, and execute different types of security tests against software products related to hardware security systems.

•    Perform penetration testing on embedded and web applications through consistent methodology using a variety of automated and manual tools and producing uniform reporting for the business. Few areas of focus of penetration testing includes
o    identity management testing
o     authorization testing
o    SQL/Code injection testing and web session management testing
•    Analyze vulnerability assessment data to identify technical risks in the product
•    Co-ordinate and execute system and network level advanced red team and ethical hacking exercises
•    Developing additional scripts to the commercial and open source tools to increase the test coverage
•    Define and develop agenda for training and educating functional quality engineers on advanced exploits, tools and other frameworks
•    Evaluate and document security compliance surrounding the embedded and web applications including vulnerability and penetration testing using a combination of manual and automated processes
•    Conduct high risk and sensitive white hat hacks of the developed and embedded and web applications
•    Assist in developing technical and security standard and best practices for QA and development teams

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
•    Seven or more years of experience in network, host, data and/or application security in multiple operating system environments
•    Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including SSL/TLS and SSH
•    Experience using Open Web Application Security Project compliant commercial and open source tools for performing penetration testing such as Nessus, Qualys & Web Scarab
•    Experience in developing additional scripts to the commercial and open source tools to increase the test coverage
•    Experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques
•    Experience working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.)
•    Experience working with leading firewall, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies is nice to have
•    Experience working with federal regulations related to information security is nice to have
