Job Title: IT Security Analyst V
Job Location: Newark, NJ

The IT Security Analyst V provides technical advice, guidance and functions as a lead for Security operations and projects. This role acts as a subject matter specialist in one or more highly specialized Security technologies, solutions or services. This position works in a team setting, sharing information and assisting others

Leads/assists the Information Security team in identifying security risks and implement security solutions.
Leads/assist in implementing Information Security Architecture as defined by the Information Security team, by working with these groups as new and upgraded systems are implemented, beginning with development and continuing through deployment.
Monitor and enforce the effectiveness of Enterprise wide information security program and p-licies
Track and maintain operational security metrics
Develop information security risk identification, tracking and mitigation processes strategy and methodology
Participate in investigating possible security violations. Establish monitoring measures to detect and ensure correction of security breaches and policy violation
Consult with Security Governance staff and IT Staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications and software.
Provide regular reports on security incidents, service levels and project status Assess and report on threats, vulnerabilities and residual risk; and recommend remedial action.
Work with the enterprise architecture team and Security Governance to ensure that compliance is built into systems architecture and to identify, evaluate and select security solutions to meet security and compliance needs
Implementation of security standards and security baseline.
Review and approve access requests
Analyze and take appropriate action on intrusion detections
Track and maintain operational security metrics
Member of CIRT
Participate in investigating possible security violations
OS and application Vulnerability assessment
NG Firewall Management
SIEM (Security Incident Event Management) with ArcSight
WAF (Web Application Firewall) Management
Web application Security Assessment (AppScan)
Analyze and recommend action on security related incidents
Comply with internal and external audit requests
Email security
Web Security

Requires excellent knowledge of IT and computer systems
Requires an excellent understanding of IT security concepts with an emphasis on Security Operations, Incident response, Patch/Vulnerability Management
Requires sound understanding of internal and external audit process
Requires understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), encryption, network security controls tools and functionalities
Requires demonstrated proficiency in applying HIPAA/HITECH/PCI security rules and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards

Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of SIEM tool preferably ArcSight
Web application vulnerability assessment and management
OS vulnerability assessment and management
Firewall and IPS/IDS management
Encryption management
Malware and APT management
DLP management
Web Proxy management.
Requires exceptional analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others as a team
Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Working knowledge of E-mail Security, Mobile Security, Cloud Security and Forensic Security

Requires Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, from an accredited college or university
Prefers advanced degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field
10 years prior IT security related work experience
