Position Available: Communications Project Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA and Black Rock City, NV
Job Summary
The Communications Project Manager (PM) oversees year-round and on playa storytelling, public relations, and Black Rock City-related projects for Burning Man Project. This role is responsible for creating and executing project plans and timelines, developing and improving processes, maintaining a library of storytelling and public-facing communications resources, and supporting the Burning Man Speakers’ Bureau. The PM helps to develop key messaging, storytelling tools, and communications strategies to help meet our organizational goals. In addition to overseeing the organization’s media archive, this role leads print production for many of Burning Man Project’s pieces, helping to create and maintain the visual look and feel of the nonprofit. The PM also leads planning and logistics for the Communications Team’s annual presence in Black Rock City, and provides direction and support to Black Rock City Communications volunteer teams: Media Mecca, Black Rock City Census, BMIR, and Webcast.
